How To Fix A Stratocaster Volume Control With A Jim Dunlop Super Pot

How to fix a Stratocaster volume control when it is scratchy and cleaning won't do the job. I decided to fix the problem by replacing the volume control with a Jim Dunlop Super Pot. The Jim Dunlop Super Pot is far more expensive than regular volume pots, although I constantly use my volume control on my Stratocaster and promises of a scratchy-free life will be worth it. I also recently purchased a new soldering iron as any time I attempt to fix electronics, a variable temperature soldering iron will make my life much easier. I am extremely pleased with my new variable temperature soldering iron. It is available here: https://amzn.to/42SxlnI Here is a link to the Jim Dunlop Super Pot: https://amzn.to/4gEk7yd When working on electronics or anything very small, my hands-free head magnifier visor is invaluable: https://amzn.to/41gSzdw (These are paid links). A video showing how to fix a Stratocaster volume control is not the most exciting video to watch, so I jammed over a backing track to add more interest. The backing track used in this video is from https://elevatedjamtracks.bandcamp.com. Elevated Jam Tracks has many great-sounding backing tracks and are well worth checking out. 🎸 Get FREE pentatonic guitar licks Join my Free Pentatonic Guitar Lick Library for variable-speed audio, downloadable PDF TAB, Guitar Pro files and explanations to help you develop your own ideas: https://learn.guitarmasteryonline.com... 🎸 Start here — Master Guitar Modes in Under One Hour Unlock the fretboard and understand scales and modes with this quick, powerful mini-course: https://learn.guitarmasteryonline.com... 🎓 Want personalised guitar lessons?
