Join me on an unforgettable journey along the scenic Jalalabad-Kabul highway in Afghanistan, where I stumbled upon a vibrant village brimming with life and warmth. As I drove past, I discovered a lush apple garden where fresh, juicy apples of export quality were carefully sorted and packed with utmost care. The farmers greeted me with open arms and generous smiles, offering these delicious apples to taste—they were incredibly flavorful and vibrant, destined soon to reach homes in India. Walking through the orchard, I felt deeply connected to the hardworking apple farmers, gaining insight into their daily lives and traditions. The experience blossomed further when I visited a diverse farm nearby, home to cows, buffaloes, donkeys, and sheep living freely amidst open fields. The caretakers shared their gentle methods with me, and I cherished every moment with these adorable animals. My final stop was a lively brinjal farm, where I witnessed the harvest in full swing. The farmers’ hospitality was overwhelming—they gifted me with plenty of fresh brinjals to take home, a beautiful reminder of this heartfelt encounter. The journey back to Kabul along the Jalalabad-Kabul highway was nothing short of lovely, filled with memories of the incredible people and vibrant agricultural life I experienced.
