Soundtrack used: Lost Sun Battle - Squishyboi The Merchant's Remorse - Maddie Doktor Timestamps: 0:45 - 1:38 Basic components of the strategy 1:45 - 3:20 Suggested improvements for greater consistency 3:40 Start of the recorded fight 3:40 - 7:15 Taking down Sylvan's weapons and managing his boarders 7:20 - 9:45 Spread more fires and eliminate any remaining crew on his ship 9:50 - End Closing out the fight Extra info: Because the timing can be super tight if your fire RNG is not good, I prefer Non-Corporealism to take down his weapons even faster. Chemical Proliferation may actually work against you for reasons I have mentioned, whereby one of your gouls will kill the other and comfortably put out fires without having to heal up from the Emancipation Grid. Emergency Manual is strictly better (if you can spare 10 ammo) than Magnetic Payload because it locks 1 bar of weapons permanently which effectively sabotages 1 bar for you as a head start. If you want to maximise your chances against Sylvan, you can try to buy MC instead of Shields. I would typically recommend against this because your only energy shield option is the Zoltan Shield from Monk Refuge, since you cannot install Aether Shielding without shield performance upgrades. Furthermore, shields help you survive the early game even though they're limited to 1 layer. If you're playing on Casual difficulty, you can actually still use the Hack-Cloak cycle because his weapons aren't desynced. Just make sure that you bring an overcharge drone, because Limit 3's maximum evasion (without addons) is 95%, so a drawn-out battle will eventually see your energy shield fall if you don't replenish it. Then all hell breaks loose. The "Free Win" combo as I mentioned in the video is Metyunt, Turzil, and Nights. You would board them into weapons and activate all of their abilities immediately. You could pre-cloak and Sylvan's weapons will almost be destroyed when your cloak ends. Then you can spread fires and chaos to distract them from repairs. You do need quite a lot of sectors to line up, and the boss fights that gate these crew may be tricky for Limit 3.
