Munster Memories | The stories behind Munster Rugby's history against touring sides

From New Zealand in 1978 to Australia in 1992 to Maori All Blacks in 2016 and many more besides, Munster's games against touring sides are the stuff of legend. As world champions South Africa arrives for a historic occasion at a sold-out Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Pinergy has gathered heroes of the games of the past for an exclusive interview with Matt Cooper. Gerry 'Ginger' McLoughlin was part of the Munster team that beat the All Blacks in 1978; Peter 'The Claw' Clohessy played a pivotal role in the ferocious battle against Australia in 1992; and Ronan O'Mahony scored the match-winning try in an emotionally charged win over the Maori All Blacks in 2016, a game which took place just weeks after the tragic death of Anthony Foley. All three gather with Matt to discuss their memories of those famous games, establish why these fixtures are so very special, and look ahead to what will be a truly special occasion at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Pinergy is the Presenting Partner of Munster v South Africa XV at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Thursday November 10th. Follow Pinergy across social media.
