12 classic 70s cop shows and TV detectives that networks cancelled, from Columbo, The Rockford Files and Kojak to Starsky and Hutch, Baretta, The Streets of San Francisco, McCloud and Police Woman. One show drew more viewers than a man running for president, and it was still cancelled. One star begged his network not to renew him. Another offered to make more episodes, and never heard back.
Which one should never have been cancelled? Tell me in the comments.
