Millennials are fed up with how parents raise their kids. Or are they overreacting?
Because millennial parents have opinions about other millennial parents — and they're not keeping them quiet anymore.

There's a growing frustration inside the millennial parent community itself. Not just with the school system or with teachers — but with other parents. With the parenting choices being made around them that they think are creating problems for everyone. Too permissive. Too checked out. Too focused on being their kid's friend instead of their parent.
And they're saying it out loud.
But the people being called out aren't taking it quietly either. There's a fine line between genuine concern about how kids are being raised and just having strong opinions about other people's households. And a lot of parents feel like the criticism being thrown around is more about judgment than it is about actually caring what happens to other people's kids.
Are millennials fed up for good reason, or is this just another version of parents policing each other in ways that don't actually help anyone? The fact that it's happening within the same generation makes it more interesting — because they all grew up in roughly the same world and still landed in very different places on what good parenting looks like.
I've worked with thousands of families from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Parents calling out other parents is rarely as productive as it feels in the moment.
Are they right to be fed up, or is this overreacting? Leave a comment.
