Checking out the new Meteor Spark Event. For those curious, here's an explanation of all the different meteors (written by Jorshama over at FZD): Ghost Meteor: These sparks make your machine intangible to all contact, track hazards and bumpers. This includes magnets, wind, heavy terrain, walls, spinners, mines and blues. The duration is 6 seconds you will blink when there is 1 second left on the invisibility and picking up another ghost spark refreshes the duration Dash Meteor: Dash plates will form where these fall. They are faster and smaller than normal dash plates Jump Meteor: Jump plates will fall where these meteors land. You do not go as high as regular plates, but can still clear significant distances. Yes you can make large skips with them without being UFOed! Mine Meteor: Spiky Mines will form out of these meteors. They immediately deal damage and PERMANENTLY lower your health bar. Avoid as much as you can! Power Meteor: Green electric bolts will spawn from these meteors that PERMANENTLY give you health. Stack up as much as you can! Skyway Meteor: Purplish sparks will form from these. Picking them up not only increases you skyway meter, but enhances how many zippers can show up when you activate it based on how many of these meteor sparks you have picked up.
