Today , on the date of her anniversary, I am launching a YouTube channel for Martha Argerich’s 80th birthday : it will include 80 unreleased video and audio recordings of the great pianist. The video and audio recordings have all been uploaded to my YouTube channel privately. The 80 recordings will be released progressively from June 5th 2021 throughout the year. They come from various sources : Many videos including lots of rarities that I did film myself across the years Wonderful audio concerts from the 1960’s to now, including extraordinary audio recordings of solo recitals and concertos that were never released before Bootleg audio and video recordings from concerts that were shared with me and my dear friend Che Frye Great TV programs that have disappeared from social media and are no longer available This project is a tribute to my dearest friend Che Frye (1978-2017) with whom I was always travelling to hear Martha’s concerts and from whom I inherited many of the recordings / videos. He very sadly passed away a few years ago. Out of respect I am kindly asking you not to share those video and audio recordings on social media as I would like them to be accessible only through that YouTube channel.
