I review the last V8-powered muscle car available under $40,000 brand new, the 2023 Chevy Camaro LT1 with a manual transmission. With a torquey, great sounding V8 and great handling, the Camaro LT1 is hard to fault as long as you can get past the less-than-ideal outward visibility. And while the LT1 does strip out some performance hardware, it's still as fun as ever and well worth considering if you want an affordable V8-powered muscle car before they're all gone.
