Fire Breaks Out At HPCL Visakhapatnam Refinery | All Personnel Evacuated Safely

A major fire broke out at the Visakhapatnam refinery of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) around 10:00 p.m. on November 2. The blaze originated at the residue upgradation facility's pitch intermediate storage tank area, prompting the refinery's fire and safety teams to activate emergency protocols and localize the fire. On-duty personnel were safely evacuated, and the flames were completely extinguished with no casualties reported. HPCL confirmed that all other units are operating safely and an investigation has been launched to determine whether a technical glitch caused the incident. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh is also dealing with the impact of Cyclone Murasu following recent damage from Cyclone Arnub. Heavy rains and gusty winds were reported across Nellore, Ongole, Bapatla, and Prakasam districts. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu monitored the situation through the night, directing rescue, relief, and restoration efforts with assistance sought from neighbouring states. #HPCL #Visakhapatnam #RefineryFire #itwebvideos #AndhraPradesh #CycloneMurasu #ChandrababuNaidu #HPCLRefinery #FireIncident #Nellore #Ongole #Bapatla #prakasamdistrictnews Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
