In Part 5 of our Statistics & Probability series, we explore four important sampling techniques used in Statistics, Data Science, and Data Analytics.
When studying a large population, collecting information from every individual may be expensive or impractical. Sampling helps us select a smaller group to study and draw useful insights from the collected data.
📚 *WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS VIDEO*
✅ What is Sampling?
✅ What is a Population and a Sample?
✅ Simple Random Sampling
✅ Stratified Sampling
✅ Cluster Sampling
✅ Systematic Sampling
✅ Differences between the four sampling techniques
✅ Real-world examples of each technique
✅ When to use each sampling method
✅ Advantages and limitations of different sampling approaches
📊 *THE FOUR SAMPLING TECHNIQUES*
🔹 *1. Simple Random Sampling*
Every member of the population has an equal chance of selection.
🔹 *2. Stratified Sampling*
The population is divided into relevant subgroups called strata, and samples are selected from each subgroup.
🔹 *3. Cluster Sampling*
The population is divided into clusters, and selected clusters are sampled. Depending on the design, all members or a sample of members within selected clusters may be studied.
🔹 *4. Systematic Sampling*
Individuals are selected at regular intervals from an ordered population, usually after choosing a random starting point.
🎯 *WHO SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO?*

💡 *WHY IS SAMPLING IMPORTANT?*
Sampling can save time and resources while helping us study large populations. Understanding the right sampling technique is important for collecting useful data and avoiding biased conclusions.
