Scotland Road Tours - A8003 Tighnabruaich

Today's road tour takes us along the A8003 from the A886 near Clachan of Glandaruel, to the village of Tighnabruaich on the Cowal Peninsula in Scotland. The road also serves as an important link to the Portavadie ferry, transporting passengers across to Tarbert on the Kintyre Peninsula. The road was built in 1970, superceding the much longer B8000 route along the western shores of Loch Fyne. Large parts of the road are single track and very bendy through mostly forested areas. Tighnabruaich is the only significant settlement along the route. Filmed February 2022
