The Streamers Are Wrong About Gears of War: E-Day

The big streamers say Gears of War: E-Day is woke. I've loved Gears my whole life, so I played all of Act 1 on Insane to see if they're right. Two blokes raise a beer to Carlos. Then E-Day hits Kalona. A police station with a mental health poster, three deaths in a supermarket, Ty and his chainsaw, a squadmate who shuts an e-hole with a grenade, a lizard the size of a house - and a new captain who tells us "you four belong to me now". So is it as woke as they're saying, or am I eating my words? The verdict's at the end. 0:00 Is It Woke? 1:34 Two Men and a Beer 3:25 E-Day 5:25 The Police Station 9:27 Insane Means Insane 13:01 Big Ty 14:47 Ammunition for Days 17:38 The Lizard Act 2 on Insane (28 deaths):    • Gears of War: E-Day Isn't Woke... I Died 2...   My mid-game review, 10 hours in:    • Why Everyone Hates Gears of War: E-Day (I ...   Act 3 is next - subscribe so you don't miss it. #GearsOfWarEDay #GearsOfWar #Gaming STAY CONNECTED: TWITCH:   / tobiasdafirst   TWITTER:   / tobiasdafirst   DISCORD:   / discord   🔴 Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!
