Cup of Tea, Union Reel | Academy of Irish Music

This set combines two reels, the first titled Cup of Tea, and the second titled Union Reel. These tunes are traditional Irish folk tunes that the Academy of Irish Music covers to celebrate the time-honored tunes of Irish music. BIYA BIYA took Diaspora Duos to the Color Club Tavern for an afternoon of free live music featuring the Palestinian Youth Ensemble and the Academy of Irish Music. We reveled in tunes from across diasporas in solidarity with liberation for all oppressed peoples. The Academy of Irish Music is a Chicago-based group that aims to create a community of young musicians dedicated to playing and advancing Irish music. A Chicago staple, they've played across the city's most beloved festivals bars, and events.
