Near in God’s Love | Piano Meditation

“Loved with everlasting love, led by grace that love to know.” This week’s Near piano meditation is built around two beloved hymns: I Am His and He Is Mine — George W. Robinson O Love That Will Not Let Me Go — George Matheson Together, these hymns remind us of a profound truth: God is near in a love that precedes us, pursues us, holds us, and will not let us go. Before we ever reached toward God, He loved us. Before we became aware of His presence, His grace was already drawing us. And when our own grip feels weak, we can rest in the assurance that His love remains strong. The Cross is the clearest expression of that love. God has not merely told us that He loves us—in Christ, He has shown us. So as you listen, allow the music to become an invitation to rest. You are loved. You are held. You belong to Him. “I am His and He is mine.” And even in seasons of weariness or uncertainty: “O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee.” May these few minutes help you become more aware of the God who is already near—and the everlasting love in which you are already held.
