Start at one corner. Find your rhythm. Let your shawl grow to the size you want. 🧶 In this tutorial, I’ll show you how I make a simple triangle shawl with an easy repeating V-stitch — no fixed size, no complicated pattern to memorize. The shawl grows through a simple construction: • Start with 4 chain stitches. • Work the first V-stitch into the first chain. • Work 1 V-stitch into each arch of the previous row. • Add 1 extra V-stitch at the end of every row. • Repeat until the shawl reaches the size you want. Your hands are your guide. You can simply check the size as you go instead of following a fixed number of rows. My sample: • Hook: 2.5 mm (US C/2) • Yarn: soft, lightweight mohair-type yarn with a thin supporting strand • Yarn used: approximately 350 g, including fringe • Beads: 260 • Finished size, without fringe: 75 × 150 cm / 29.5 × 60 in • Fringe length: approximately 3.5 cm / 1.5 in • My sample: 130 rows Chapters 00:00 One Shawl • Three Ways to Wear It 00:08 Materials & the Idea 00:22 Starting at the Corner 00:35 Row 1 — First V-Stitch 01:12 Row 2 — The First Increase 02:02 The Simple V-Stitch Rhythm 02:38 Beaded Fringe 03:38 Finished Shawl These measurements are for my sample only. There is no fixed size — simply continue until your shawl reaches the size that feels right for you. The finishing touch is a simple beaded fringe, worked separately and attached along two sides of the shawl. The repetitive movement of the stitch pattern and fringe is part of what I love about this project: one small step, then the next. ONE SHAWL • THREE WAYS TO WEAR IT Wear it as: • a hood • a scarf • a shoulder wrap The matching mitts use the same checkmark/V-stitch rhythm and make a natural companion to the shawl. 🧶 RELATED PROJECT Matching Mitts —    • Easy Crochet Fingerless Mitts for Beginner...   💡 TECHNIQUES V-Stitch —    • How to Crochet a V-Stitch | Easy Crochet S...   Beaded Fringe —    • How to Crochet Beaded Fringe   📚 PLAYLIST Crochet Techniques & Stitch Library — [ADD PLAYLIST LINK] ABOUT THREAD TO YOURSELF Crochet is the way, not the goal.
