Found that, while my bank instantly deducts payments on my debit card, refunding money to it when I cancel a transaction takes 20 business days to put it back it into my account. My new chain had already gone slack and the workshop manager found that the mechanic who fitted it, instead of shortening the new chain to fit my bike's specific length had merely adjusted the adjuster back to its maximum limit. The manager personally removed some links and brought the adjuster forward to its proper place. Instead of talking to the mechanic about the mistake he just treated me as a grumpy old man. Had the engine oil changed, which I do as specified in the handbook every 1,000 kilometres. I am probably one of the few owners that do this but instead of applauding my care for my machine the mechanics regard me as a fussy old woman. Of course, after any work done, due to the mechanics not wearing gloves, next stop is to wash it to remove their fingerprints from everywhere. Such is life.
