The Ozzy Odyssey Part Five: The Road Trip to Lightning Ridge

In March of 2025 my wife and I were invited to Sydney to attend my brother's wedding. This is the story all about how our lives got flipped, turned upside down, as we flew across the world to visit Australia for the first time. This video features a walk around Dubbo, the drive to Gilgrandra, Gilgandra's visitor centre and museums, then the drive to Coonamble via Gulargambone, the Coonamble visitor centre (including visiting the John Murray art on the water tower), exploring the dry Castlereigh River, then heading north to Walgett before we head out to Cumborah and the Grawin Opal fields. Stopping at the Glengarry Hilton for a drink, we finally make our way to Lightning Ridge, visiting the Artesian Baths and ending our evening with dinner at the Bowlo. Along the way we encounter various animals on the roads.
