I Waited for the Mist to Clear Over Mont Saint-Michel ( It Was Worth It) | Mont Saint-Michel, France

Visiting the majestic Mont Saint-Michel had been a lifelong dream of mine, especially the thought of seeing it in the splendor of the morning light. To my chagrin, however, a dense fog completely hid the island on the morning of my visit. Undeterred, I climbed the steep, rocky steps to the abbey at the summit, and my efforts were richly rewarded. The fog lifted, revealing a glorious view from both the summit and at the causeway below. Experiencing this historic sight is a gift everyone should give themselves at least once in their lives.
