ASMR- How to make watercolor paint from Indian red sandalwood powder

Handmade watercolor process using sandalwood powder as my pigment This sandalwood powder was gifted to me by a friend in Andhra Pradesh India and it smells incredible! Typically I make my paints using handmade pigments I make from foraged stones and clays. Sometimes I make lake pigment extractions with flowers, too! This is the first time I’ve used wood as a pigment and it has some pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful texture, and ink-like effect when exposed to more and more water, great lift Cons: The texture can be a bit much, but this is something I keep going back and forth on, I kind of love it! It’s much harder to mull this pigment since the material is soft and doesn’t break down in the way a rock pigment would. I make my binder from scratch! You can find the recipe on @arleebean channel!
