The International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) and Child & Family Global Outreach (CF-GO) continue their joint mission to support Early Career Scholars in translating developmental science into meaningful, real-world impact. In Bridging the Gap: Getting Your Research into Policymakers’ Hands, Dr. Jennifer E. Lansford (Duke University, USA) explores practical approaches for translating developmental research into policy-relevant messages, engaging with policymakers, and communicating evidence in ways that can support meaningful change across diverse cultural and national contexts. Drawing on her extensive work in developmental science, including the Parenting Across Cultures Project, she shares insights on how researchers can move beyond academia and ensure their evidence reaches the people making decisions that shape children’s lives.
