🌱 Bringing A Dying Planet Back To Life, One Plant At A Time! | The Regreening Demo

🌱 The Regreening is the demo I was actually supposed to play yesterday! After my slight mishap involving a similarly named game, I've finally arrived on the correct planet — and this time our job really is to transform a dusty, lifeless world into somewhere green, colourful and full of life again. 🌸 What immediately struck me was just how beautifully this world has been put together. We gradually bring the landscape back to life one flower, one blade of grass and one tree at a time, before butterflies, rabbits and other signs of nature begin returning too. Along the way there's a lovely story to uncover, charming characters to meet and an increasingly beautiful world to explore as our efforts begin making a very visible difference. 🎮 My only real difficulty came from the controls. Keyboard movement is currently locked to WASD with no option to remap it to my preferred arrow keys, which is awkward for me as a left-handed mouse user. I tried the controller as an alternative, but found some actions rather clunky with that too. Hopefully key remapping is something we'll see added as development continues. 💚 What surprised me most was just how substantial the demo is. I eventually stopped after around two hours, partly because it was getting rather late, and there was still plenty more I could have done. I came away thoroughly impressed by The Regreening and can already imagine the full release being one of those games I struggle to put down until I've brought every last little corner of its world back to life.
