Photophosphorylation is the process by which light energy is converted into chemical energy in the form of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) during photosynthesis.
It occurs in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts and involves the movement of electrons through an electron transport chain.
There are two types of photophosphorylation:
Cyclic Photophosphorylation
Non-cyclic Photophosphorylation
