Durham – a cathedral city in Great Britain, known for its cathedral and castle, prestigious university and Norman architecture. This is where scenes for the most famous film series were filmed - Harry Potter! Durham Cathedral was used as the film Hogwarts in the first two films in the series. Each location of the cathedral was used for a different purpose. For example, the square of grass called Cloister Garth is the site of the famous "eat slugs" scene, in which Ron wanted to punish Malfoy for insulting Hermione by casting a curse with his broken wand. Similarly, the roofed walkways (The Cloisters) are where Harry freed Dobby from the Malfoys. Normally, Hogwarts like in the movies! But they haven't accepted me yet! Maybe they will, if you join me on my journey to explore the secrets of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! It will be another journey full of magic and nostalgia! Just be careful not to cast any careless spells; you saw what happened to poor Ron later... If you would like to see more filming locations, or you simply love Harry Potter, you can leave a like and maybe subscribe to help the channel grow! Music used: John Williams - Hedwig's Theme (from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" movie soundtrack):    • Hedwig's Theme   John Williams - Buckbeak's Flight (from "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" movie soundtrack):    • Buckbeak's Flight   Nicholas Hooper - Dumbledore's Army (from "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie soundtrack):    • Dumbledore's Army   John Williams - Leaving Hogwarts (from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" movie soundtrack):    • Leaving Hogwarts   #durham #harrypotter #filminglocations #uk #ronweasley #hogwarts
