Family wild camping on Dartmoor on the longest day of the year

► ABOUT THIS TRIP We drive down from London to mark the longest day of the year with a wild camp on west Dartmoor. A short circular route takes us up to Hare Tor, where we pitch for the night: the Sierra Designs Meteor 3000 for my wife and daughter, a DD Hammocks tarp for me and my son. We're rewarded with an incredible sunset, captured on timelapse, and a visit from Dartmoor's wild horses sometime in the night. The next morning we make our way back via Brat Tor and cool off with a dip in the River Lyd before the drive home. Leave No Trace.
