She Couldn’t See the Board Clearly—What Did She Say After Receiving Free Glasses?

During my visit to Cambodia, I met students who received free eye examinations and glasses through a programme supported by FdnF. I wanted to hear from the children themselves: how has life at school changed since they got their glasses? Some could not clearly see the writing on the board or in their books. Their families did not always realise that poor eyesight was the problem and sometimes thought the children simply needed to try harder. With properly fitted glasses, the students can see more clearly, follow lessons more easily, and feel more confident at school. The programme has made a difference for more than 350 students from low-income families in Cambodia. Join me as I visit the children and listen to their stories.
