Shelftember Crochet Haul 🍂 Teacher Gifts, Spooky Makes & Book-Inspired Creatures

Welcome back to The Haunted Shelf — my cozy corner of the internet for spooky, gothic books and crochet! 🕸️🧶 I started a new job this month, so my reading took a back seat — but my hook definitely didn't stop moving. Here's everything I finished between September 1st and 20th: 🎁 TEACHER GIFTS Simple spiral squares in Flinders cotton (Spotlight) + Sugar 'n Cream cotton, 6mm hook — packs of two for my daughter's teachers Lilac panda plushies — 3 made, one more to go for a full set 🎀 SCRAP & STASH SEPTEMBER Burnout velvet scrunchies in a soft berry colourway (6 made!) Black velvet scrunchies for my daughter's dance studio colours (in progress — ran out of yarn mid-batch) 🐱 QUICK GIFTS A little Loaf Cat, whipped up for a friend's little sister who kept "borrowing" the big one I made for her birthday 🐉 BOOK-INSPIRED MAKES A white variegated Dragon (Crochet by Jenna pattern) Two simple Ghosts (free Instagram pattern) Two Pumpkins — green chenille stem, cinnamon-stick acrylic body — kicking off spooky season here in Australia FOUR Axes using Crochet by Nikelle's Battle Pack pattern — axes show up as a recurring weapon across my books, so these are heading straight to market stock A Frog, finally finished off (body in black, to match the wings and ears from an earlier video) "Nessie" — my Loch Ness Monster cryptid, made from Crochet by Jenna's Brontosaurus pattern Two Wild Hunt Dogs, adapted from a fox pattern since my Wild Hunt books actually have dogs — meet Hunter and Cari/Caru, named after characters from Her Daffodil Queen and Primrose Princess Sacrifice (out October 15th!)
