The Imperially Appointed Female Divine Constable.#costume, #suspense , #femaleoriented

Imperial-bestowed female constable Shen Qingci pursued the old case of her mentor’s murder. She happened upon evildoers disguised as ghost soldiers transporting official silver, and befriended Xie, a surviving orphan of the former emperor. Following clues from a paper workshop, the two uncovered the treasonous gang of the Third Prince and Liu An, who secretly hoarded weapons, poisoned loyal ministers, and massacred the Zhang family. Along the way, they met the orphan Zhang Yue and the constable Lin Zhou, and found a large amount of evidence of the crimes. The group rushed to the divine capital to save the emperor, broke into the camp of assassins to rescue Su Yuan, the son of her mentor, and captured a host of rebel conspirators. After the turmoil was quelled, the female emperor granted a marriage between Shen Qingci and Xie. Yet the mysterious secret envoy Number Zero never appeared, the Number Two eunuch Gao Demao escaped after causing trouble, and Lu Zhan was also silenced by him. The mastermind behind the scenes remained hidden in the shadows, leaving foreshadowing for a sequel.
