Better Than Yesterday” is where this journey began. This was the first song I wrote, and in many ways, it became the foundation for everything that came after it. There came a point in my life when I had to look at myself differently. Not just at the things that had happened to me, but at the things I had done, the people I had hurt, the bridges I had burned, and the moments I wished more than anything I could go back and handle differently. But you can’t turn the clock backward. You can apologize. You can admit where you were wrong. You can wish you had listened more, loved better, or let go of your pride sooner. But eventually, I realized that saying “I’m sorry” means very little if the way you live afterward never changes. That realization became “Better Than Yesterday.” This song isn’t about pretending the past didn’t happen. It’s about owning it. It’s about understanding that the people you’ve hurt don’t owe you forgiveness, another chance, or an immediate place back in their lives. Healing happens on their timeline, not yours. The song reflects that directly a second chance belongs to the other person to give, while changing how you live remains your responsibility.
