Lamar Jackson came back from the ankle injury and lasted one play. Tyler Huntley was gone before halftime. Third-stringer Joe Fagnano, who spent the week playing Josh Allen on the scout team, finished the game. The Ravens managed 144 yards of total offense and 27 net passing yards, their fewest since Trace McSorley and RG3 combined for 11 at Pittsburgh in 2020. Jerry Coleman and the Baltimore Sun's Mike Preston sort through the wreckage: an offensive line that got three quarterbacks hurt, Lamar headed to IR, Tyler Loop's "groin injury" after a kickoff out of bounds and another doink, Ray Lewis in the locker room for a pep talk, and Eric DeCosta under the microscope. "He's the architect." Preston isn't biting on the "has Lamar played his last game as a Raven?" question: "Clickbait, man. It doesn't work here." He is biting on Derrick Henry ("He doesn't run through arm tackles anymore"), Trey Hendrickson ("Seen his best days in Cincinnati. Will he see them again in Baltimore? Probably not.") and Matt Stover ("You sold us some bad goods"). Then it's the shortest week of the year: a 26-point loss, a three-game skid, and the Jaguars, who just beat the Colts 42-7, coming in as the favorite on Thursday night. Preston on selling that game: "Trevor Lawrence versus who? Kyle Hamilton." And a report card with an F, three D's, and the secondary grade Jerry refuses to accept.
