With Pick A Lock you can learn lockpicking and open locked doors, using the lockpicks you find in the world. IMPORTANT: THE SKILL IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE START You cannot pick locks at the beginning of the game. You must first read 35 Master Lockpicker books to unlock the skill. Until then, nothing happens when you look at a locked door. HOW IT WORKS Find and read the Master Lockpicker books. Every book you read shows your progress on screen (for example 10/35). When you reach 35/35, the skill unlocks and you get a message on screen. Walk up to a locked door (about 4 blocks away) and look at it. You will see "(R) Unlock Door". Press R to start picking the lock. A progress bar fills up while you work. It can succeed or fail, it is random. Every attempt uses one lockpick, whether you open the door or not. If you fail, you can try again as long as you have another lockpick. WHAT YOU NEED The skill unlocked by reading 35 Master Lockpicker books. At least one Lockpick in your inventory or backpack. INSTALLATION 1. Close the game. 2. Extract the Pick_A_Lock folder into your 7 Days To Die/Mods folder. 3. Start the game and enjoy.
