Currently there is no gear-based matchmaking in cataclysm which is nice for me because I get to match against gold people with holy weapons while only wearing blue gear. I've died a few times to holy weapons, but I also managed to kill a few. Lets see how my new and improved blue set performs in high-geared solo cataclysm.
