What started as excitement slowly turned into routine, struggle, loneliness, trail magic, friendships, mountains, exhaustion, and thousands of miles of walking north. This final chapter follows the last days on trail through Maine, the final climb up Katahdin, and the strange feeling of reaching the end of something that had completely taken over everyday life. The Appalachian Trail gave me some of the hardest and most beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced.
