A minimalist and raw improvisation using only the Tetrachords, Maths and two Synth VST's. The jam shows how fun it can be to send a simple trigger from MATHS to the Tetrachords and use the front panel controls to manipulate the chords on the fly. A second track is added briefly with an arpeggio that follows the movements of the chords on the first track.
An advantage of recording jams as midi is that the jam can be edited later or the virtual instruments completely switched out. It's a great way of gathering free flowing material for editing down into a more solid composition afterwards.
Patch Notes:
Channel 1of Maths is sending triggers to Tetrachords Track 1 which is in CHORD mode (polyphonic).
Tetrachords Track 1 is sending midi via USB C on midi channel 1 to the laptop and playing a Synth VST plugin.
The SUM channel of Maths is sending Triggers to Tetrachords Track 2 which is in ARP mode (monophonic).
Tetrachords track 2 is sending Midi via USB C on midi channel 2 to the laptop and playing a different synth VST plugin.
