PIRW Activity Log: https://tinyurl.com/PIRWLog Welcome to Pine Island Raptor Watch — Live from Pine Island, Florida! You're watching our live raptor nesting platform as we wait to see who may claim it this season — Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Horned Owls, or perhaps someone unexpected. For more than 20 years, Bald Eagles nested on this property. Hurricane Ian destroyed their historic nest, and the eagles did not return. We have since installed this dedicated nesting platform and rebuilt a starter nest in the original Bald Eagle nesting tree nearby. Our cameras allow us to watch both sites while giving the birds the space to decide what happens next. Follow along throughout the season for nest building, courtship, eggs, hatchlings, feeding, fledging, and the incredible wildlife of Southwest Florida. We don't know who will show up. That's the best part. Please remember that these are wild animals. Nesting activity, wildlife sightings, and camera views are never guaranteed.
