Bruno Fernandes Assist Record ISN'T What It Looks Like

Bruno Fernandes, 2025/26: 21 assists. An all-time Premier League record. His first one didn't arrive until 19 October. That contradiction is the whole story. The record is being used to prove Bruno dragged a broken club up the table on his back. It actually proves the opposite — that United finally built a team good enough to deserve him. And the data is surprisingly blunt about which is true. In this video: why half the record came from dead balls, why the variable that changed wasn't Bruno, and why "most assists ever" and "greatest creator ever" are two very different claims — separated by eleven corners. This is THE CONTRARIAN — the argument most channels won't make. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⏱ CHAPTERS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 0:00 The Record That Didn't Start Until October 0:45 Why The Mainstream Got It Backwards 1:45 Pillar 1 — The Share That Changed Wasn't Bruno's 3:30 Pillar 2 — Half The Record Came From A Dead Ball 5:15 Pillar 3 — A Volume Record, Built Mid-Rebuild 7:00 The Verdict — Cause And Effect, Inverted 8:45 The Argument Most Channels Won't Make ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📊 THE NUMBERS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 21 assists — all-time PL single-season record (past Henry & De Bruyne, both 20) First assist: 19 October | 8 goals | 35 apps | 3,066 mins 11 of 21 assists from set pieces — equals Gerrard's 2013/14 record FWA Footballer of the Year (first United winner since Rooney, 2010) + Player of the Season The variable that moved: Mbeumo, Cunha & Šeško — all reached double figures United finished 3rd under Carrick after sacking Amorim in January ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎙 SOURCES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Premier League official — assist record & Playmaker award ESPN / Sky Sports — FWA Footballer of the Year, season awards Manchester United official — Cunha, Mbeumo & Šeško in double figures Wikipedia — 2025-26 Man Utd & Bruno Fernandes season data ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔔 PREMIER PHANTOM ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Contrarian.
