The day after BTS kicked off the South American leg of the ARIRANG World Tour, RM opened an art exhibition he co-curated at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art: "RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me." More than 50,000 people reserved tickets before it even opened, and advance sales were six times higher than any previous SFMOMA show. So why would one of America's top modern art museums hand its walls to a K-pop rapper with no art degree? We follow the "why": a 2018 moment in Chicago, eight years of collecting Korean art, a museum room built like a living room, and a translator who has been carrying Korean culture to the world since the UN. Includes short clips of: Come back to me, Wild Flower, LOST!, plus RM in his own words (SFMOMA opening, United Nations 2018, APEC CEO Summit 2025). The exhibition runs until February 7, 2027. 00:00 50,000 in a queue 00:28 Same week, two worlds 00:54 RM x SFMOMA 01:50 6x the record 02:48 Like a merch drop 03:14 Renting his fame? 03:59 Chicago, 2018 04:48 Art inside the album 05:50 The gatekeepers 06:36 A new breeze 07:15 178 works, 1,500 years 07:48 In his own words 08:15 A room called "home" 08:47 The bridge 09:09 The translator 09:56 APEC: 360 degrees 10:44 The last room 11:19 A long introduction Sources: SFMOMA, The Art Newspaper (Oct 7, 2026), Mission Local (Oct 2, 2026), Korea JoongAng Daily (Oct 8, 2026), San Francisco Chronicle, KTVU FOX 2, UNICEF, Korea Herald / Korea Times (APEC, Oct 29, 2025), Billboard, Wikipedia.
