'Another 'Namboothiri' will write the next song, he said' - Kaithapram about Dileep | Interview

In this interview recorded on 22 October 2023, renowned Malayalam lyricist and musician Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri opens up about a deeply unpleasant experience he had with actor Dileep during the making of a film. Kaithapram reveals that after he wrote one song for the project, Dileep allegedly told him that “another Namboothiri” would write the next song. The veteran lyricist says the remark left him deeply insulted and hurt, prompting him to take a firm stand that he would never collaborate on a Dileep film again. “I don’t care if he hears this,” Kaithapram says, speaking bluntly about the incident and its lasting impact on him. #Kaithapram #Interview #Dileep #ExpressDialogues
