We Need Your Help (My Channel Got Demonetized)

Our YouTube channel was unfairly demonetized for "reused content," even though every drawing, script, and edit on this channel is made by three real people. And we're not the only ones. More and more artists and creators are talking about sudden demonetization, YPP removals, reused content claims, and how YouTube is handling original content while AI-generated slideshow channels continue to grow and stay monetized. Our team is three people. One of us hand-draws the characters for every video in Procreate, which adds up to hundreds of original drawings so far. One of us edits seven to eight hours a day. And I research the comics and write every script myself. The only thing we use AI for is the voiceover, because I have dyslexia. We have always marked the AI disclosure box on every video to be fully transparent. We appealed and explained our entire process, but the appeal was rejected almost instantly, with no sign that a real person ever looked at our channel. In this video, I explain exactly what happened, our experience with the YouTube Partner Program and the reused content policy, and why this is so concerning for small creators and digital artists. This channel changed our lives, so we hope sharing our story brings attention to what's happening and helps other creators going through the same thing. If your channel has also been demonetized, removed from YPP, or flagged for reused content, please share your experience in the comments. ‪@YouTube‬ ‪@youtubecreators‬
