The rain had been falling for three hours when she walked into the street. Not ran. Not hurried. Walked — like the storm was an invitation. The neon from the pharmacy sign bled cyan across the pavement. She stopped in the middle of the lane, head tilted up, letting the water trace the lines of her jaw. No umbrella. No coat tight around her shoulders — just the fabric clinging, her hair a dark curtain plastered against her neck. A car passed. Its headlights caught her for one second — a statue in the downpour, eyes open, mouth slightly parted. Breathing it in. The driver would remember that image for the rest of his life. She was thinking about the last time someone told her the truth. Not the convenient version. The one that cost something. She had walked away then too, into a different rain, in a different city, but the feeling was the same: that strange relief of being stripped clean. The track builds like that moment. Not from quiet to loud. From weight to release. The nylon strings carry the melody like water finding its path downhill. The percussion isn't driving — it's breathing. And when the voice comes in, it doesn't announce itself. It's just there, like it had been waiting for you to notice. Bajo la lluvia. Everything that mattered washed away. Everything that's left — that's what the song is about.
