Can a small hybrid SUV really handle the dirt? Today we are testing the brand new 2026 Jeep Avenger 4xe. Unlike traditional 4x4s, this Avenger uses a gasoline engine to power the front and a dedicated electric motor for the rear axle. There is NO mechanical connection (propshaft) between the two. We take it through mixed terrain to see how the electronics manage traction when things get slippery.
