The game casts players as a Hollywood stunt driver racing through movie sets within strict time constraints. Players must follow specific directorial instructions—such as clearing checkpoints, executing dramatic power slides, and hitting or dodging obstacles. Released only two months after the original title, the Plus version introduced an exclusive Score Attack Mode. Unlike the segmented levels of the base game, Score Attack forces players through a continuous, un-interrupted run of all stages under heightened time pressure where checkpoints add extra seconds to the countdown timer.
