MS Subbulakshmi & Party (Jaffna Concert, 1957)

This is an early concert of MS amma held in Jaffna (Yazhpanam), Sri Lanka in 1957. The names of pakkavadhyam artists are not available. She used to have different sets of artists at different times and it is not possible to figure out the artists now unless indexed. My guess, for what it is worth, is that these are Sundaresa Iyer, V. Nagarajan & Vilwadhri Iyer. Nagarajan started with mridangam before he switched over to Kanjira. Overall a fine concert with great audience response. There was also a Kalyani kriti "Neetu Charana Pankaja" which was incomplete and hence, omitted.
