50 year reunion - Hello Dolly

This was the number with which we finished all of our concerts in the early 1980s. It seemed a good idea to make this the last number of the day as it was in the 1986 celebration when we had over 60 players on stage. The actual music was a present from the inspirational woodwind teacher Stan Hacking who together with our brass teacher Colin Stiff raised the standard of our front line over many years. Also immensely influential in providing many players were the middle school music teachers Cathie Mackie (John Stocker/Bowhill School) and Gerry Swainger (Redhills/St Gabriel's). Without them the band wouldn't have been so successful, so many thanks. Great to have Gerry in the band today
