She only remembers that when she woke inside the glowing bamboo, a small white rabbit was already beside her. 【Act 2 - Days on Earth】 Raised by the old man and his wife, she grew used to the evenings of this world. The rabbit was always there, close to the hem of her robe. 【Act 3 - Looking Up at the Moon】 On the night of the full moon she stops what she is doing and looks up. "Someone on that moon is waiting for me." Close enough to call to. Never close enough to reach. And the rabbit at her feet was not looking at the moon. It was looking at her. 【Act 4 - Torn Between Two Skies】 She wants to go home. But the lamps in this garden, and the warmth of the hands that raised her, are too warm to leave behind. Her heart hangs between the moon and the earth. 【Act 5 - The Escort from the Moon】 The fifteenth night. The clouds open, the moonlight becomes a road, and the escort comes quietly down. She was not afraid. The rabbit had gone ahead of her, hopping up the road of light. 【Act 6 - The Feather Robe】 When the feather robe caught the light of the moon, the sorrow of the earth came gently undone. Goodbye. Thank you. She rose quietly into the night sky. 【Act 7 - The Moon Lounge】 Back on the moon, she took off the twelve layered robes. Her shoulders lighter. A deep soft sofa. Fresh pancakes, and the blue earth outside the window.
