Once I ran
out in the wild—
over the hills,
over the snow.
Moon on the mountain,
stars in the night—
those were the days
when the world felt bright.
Now winter lies
soft on my coat,
but something old
still calls from the road.
I hear the wind
come down from the hill—
after all these years,
I hear it still.
And the moon
rises slow,
over the mountains
white with snow.
There in the night,
far from the dawn,
a silver light
leads me on.
Over the mountains,
silent and far—
I lift my eyes
to the Wolf Star.
So many moons
have faded away.
So many roads
have carried my days.
Then comes the wind,
soft and low—
calling me back
to long ago.
Let winter come.
Let silver show.
I have seen
the long years go.
But under this moon,
under this sky,
the heart I once knew
is still alive.
The wind comes down
from the mountain high.
The moon moves slow
across the sky.
I hear that call
I used to know—
out in the night,
where the wild winds blow.
There in the night,
far from the dawn,
a silver light
leads me on.
Over the mountains,
silent and far—
I lift my eyes
to the Wolf Star.
The years may fade.
The years may go.
But I still hear
the winds that blow.
Under the moon,
beneath the stars—
I lift my eyes
to the Wolf Star.
Wolf Star————
Wolf Star————
The moon shines on.
The wind blows home.
Wolf Star————
