dan humphrey | people couldn't believe what i'd become

"you were supposed to be different." / "i used to be..." _______________________________________________ okay so i started this around episode 4 i think...then it kinda got put aside, because i didn't finish it before episode 5, and then it didn't really fit for dan anymore because he started to become a better person...but then episode 8 aired, and i figured i should finish this...so here it is! so much to talk about, but really shouldn't go on so i'll try and make this quick. regarding dan and serena: dan's article is really about how he understands her, it's not like "i hate serena" at all. if you actually read it, it's really not that bad. he's not insulting her, he just saying who she is and that he understands that. and that regardless of whoever she might be, he still wants to be with her and i don't think serena gets this...but hopefully dan will fight for her, which i'm sure he will do in the next episode as for my feelings for dan: the more i rewatch 6x08 the more i love dan, but ofc i still feel sorry for serena, she didn't deserve that. i have always loved dan and he will always be my favourite GG character. (dan stan fo life) so yeah, regardless of who he is or who he becomes, i will always love dan. but i really don't think he's that bad right now, he's just being honest. and i definitely believe he loves serena (did you see how jealous and angry he was when he was talking to steven?) as for dan being gossip girl: honestly i have no idea, this thought crossed my mind about a month ago but kinda disregarded it and convinced myself it wasn't him but now everyone seems to think it could be dan... i dunno. it could be good and bad for derena. bad because obviously serena hates gossip girl and probs would never see dan in the same way. but a good thing because it kinda shows how much he cares about her since gossip girl is really all about serena. so who knows, but if it is dan...i really hope the writers make it make sense and also make sure it doesn't ruin derena. rant over. p.s. the bits in black and white that are just totally random are just some of my fave early scenes of dan. season 1 is why i love dan so much, he was perfect in season 1 and it's kinda showing how sweet, funny and awkward he used to be...to, well whatever he is now...
