Ellora are a group of caves in Verul in aurangabad (Sambhaji nagar) in Maharashtra. It is a Unesco world heritage site comprising of 34 caves of which 1-12 are Buddhist caves, 13-29 are Hindu caves and 30-34 are Jain caves. Also it has the Kailasa temple which is worlds largest monolithic top to bottom carved structure. Ellora Cave complex of 34 rock-cut temples and monasteries carved between the 6th and 10th centuries CE.
