God gives us promises. He plants desires in our hearts, and then He asks us to trust Him with how they unfold. For ten years, I carried the dream of a shared living home. I believe God placed that desire in me. But I’ll be honest: part of me wondered if it counted. If I wasn’t serving inside the church, was it really ministry? So I’m asking the question out loud: who said ministry has to happen inside the church? In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about holding on to the promises God has given you, even when they don’t look like what you expected. Sometimes the assignment lives outside the four walls, and that doesn’t make it any less holy. It doesn’t make you any less of a pastor’s wife, either. To my pastor’s wives community: you don’t have to prove your calling by where you serve. You can be open to what else God has for you. Let Him guide the promise, and trust Him with the timing.
