Welcome to Amar Care’s caregiver training program. Module 1 introduces caregivers to Amar Care, the role of a Home Care Aide, and the professional responsibilities involved in providing safe, respectful, person-centered care in a client’s home. In this training, caregivers will learn about: • Amar Care’s mission and commitment to quality care • The role and responsibilities of a Home Care Aide • Common caregiver duties and activities of daily living (ADLs) • Following the client’s individualized care plan • Supporting client dignity, choice, and independence • Person-centered care • Maintaining appropriate caregiver role boundaries • Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition • Objective reporting and documentation • Professional communication and conduct • When to contact Amar Care for guidance • Staying within your authorized caregiver role Remember: If you are unsure whether a task is within your role or authorized by the client’s care plan: STOP → CONTACT AMAR CARE → GET GUIDANCE After completing this training, caregivers must complete the Module 1 Knowledge Check and achieve the required passing score.
